we are happy to announce that we are cooperating with syncronorm so you can use the Desk Dough® Beam in Depence2 for show control and visualization
testing some soundcard options for the sound2light input and developing the connection between sound2light and presets
due to restrictions in fact of the pandemic we built a miniature setup for testing the Desk Dough® Beam virtually. A tiny projector (150lm), a bit of haze and some playmobil figures are waiting for you to create some stunning beams.
we are programming the new webinterface (after the first version for the prototypes) with a lot of more functions regarding
restart and update functions
after defining the dmx-protocol for the Desk Dough® we are now starting to build the fixture profiles for several lighting desks.
we are preparing the first 20 prototypes for giving them to companioned lighting designers in Germany, USA and Australia who supported us during the developing phase
working on new functionalities and the dmx-protocol to make it readable as a protocol as of any other lighting fixture but prepared for future aspects.
After trying out some display options we decided to ship the Desk Dough® Beam with an ePaper Display. You don't have to label the devices with the current ip-address or start channel on a piece of gaffa - the most important informations remain on the display after you powered-off the device. Even after months (or years, we are figuring that out). By the way it is saving electricity. The display itself is protected with gorilla-glas.
And we have buttons - for navigating through the menu and giving you a haptic and audible click-feedback.
we have discussed a lot about how we can make the connections lockable and what connectors to use. We decide to build-in a IEC C13 socket instead of a PowerCon. Why? Because you can find a C13-cable all over the world, in every venue (at least at the PC in the office), in the market around the corner or in your hotel room. It is a standard cable you can find everywhere and there is also a lockable version. We tested it!
